Components distributor VIP has celebrated 20 years in business with a party for 150 staff, vendors and guests.
VIP was set up in 1990 in Cheetham Hill, Manchester and had achieved 100 per cent year-on-year growth by 1995.
The firm relocated to a 28,000 square foot warehouse in Trafford Park, Manchester in 1997, but moved a final time in 2002 to its current 64,000 square foot distribution centre in Warrington.
The distributor also praised its staff, with the longevity of service contributing to its success. More than 30 per cent of staff have worked at VIP for between five and 10 years, with 10 per cent between 10 and 14 years.
Jatti Sahni, chairman of VIP, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone at VIP for making the past 20 years such as success. “Our 20th anniversary party was an enjoyable evening and provided me with the chance to pass on my personal gratitude to all at VIP.
After reaching such a significant milestone, I now look forward to the challenges and opportunities that will present themselves over the next five years as we push ahead to our 25th anniversary.”
