Computer 2000 (C2000) has laid bare its cloud plans after holding its first ever dedicated event earlier this week.
The distribution giant used its recent Cloud Discovery Day event to launch TD Cloud – a strategy it claims will provide an "end-to-end cloud-enablement path" for resellers, working with key partners including HP, Microsoft, Cisco, Brocade and Symantec.
Under the programme, resellers will be granted access to a set of resources enabling them to become either a cloud reseller, cloud builder or cloud provider. As its part of the deal, C2000 will provide education, business transformation and enablement, sales and marketing support and deployment resources for TD Cloud partners.
Joel Chimoindes, who is heading up the TD Cloud programme for C2000 in the UK, said the event had been well received.
“We got some excellent and enthusiastic feedback," he said. "Resellers seem to like our plans, so we are very pleased and looking forward to making contact with those who attended and getting them enrolled and actively engaged in the TD Cloud Programme.
“The concept is one that takes the reseller as well as the customer on a journey”, added Chimoindes. “End-user organisations will adopt cloud computing at different paces and in different ways and it will be just the same for resellers. TD Cloud will provide them with a framework that enables them to embrace and offer the cloud services that are most suited to their business and their customer base. It will enable them to develop at a pace that makes sense for them while always keeping their finger on the pulse of a rapidly changing market landscape.”
C2000’s Cloud Discovery Day was the first in a series of four dedicated cloud events. The second one will take place at Sterling Conference Centre in Scotland on 19 June. Two more events will take place in Manchester and Birmingham later this year.
