VAR Intercept IT has achieved the coveted ISO 27001 certification for its hosted cloud services after a punishing two-stage external assessment.
The accreditation makes Intercept one of just 572 companies in the UK to have achieved the certification and one of 7940 companies globally.
Richard Gilder, chief executive of Intercept, said: “An increasing number of our enterprise customers are requesting assurances regarding the security and integrity of their data and information they provide to their suppliers.
“As a result, the Board at Intercept IT felt it was time we were able to measure our performance in this area, against a stringent security standard such as ISO 27001. We’re proud to have achieved this certification, which clearly demonstrates the importance we place on the security of our customers’ electronic data.”
