EMC's Terry Beale is leaving his job as UK and Ireland channel boss next month as he prepares to take on an EMEA product role.
Beale (pictured) – who has been at EMC for 13 years and led the channel for the last two – will lead the vendor's Xtrem and Emerging Products business across EMEA from 1 July, he told partners in an email yesterday.
There is still no word on who will replace him but he told partners he would still be responsible for the channel business across the UKI region over the summer during the transition period.
The channel will be "instrumental" in the success of the emerging products Beale will be taking care of, he added.
"In the 13 years I've been at EMC I've never seen the industry changing more rapidly and the opportunity for partners be greater," he said. "It's [been] a privilege to lead the channel team for the past two of those years."
