Rich Marsden says he has "plans in the pipeline" to grow VIP UK after being crowned as the distributor's new managing director.
Marsden (pictured) becomes top dog of the components specialist three years after assuming the sales director role following VIP's merger with Realtime.
The appointment comes less than a month after VIP UK confirmed the exit of director Duncan McAauley after 11 years at the helm of the Warrington-based distributor.
VIP Group chairman Jatti Sahni said: "Rich has played a pivotal part in the delivery of a strategy that has strengthened VIP UK's position in the IT distribution channel. I am very confident in the current management team's ability to continue to grow our UK business and having Rich at the helm will ensure VIP can respond to the challenges of a highly competitive industry. I wish him well in his new role at VIP UK."
Marsden added: "There are exciting times ahead for VIP UK and there are plans in the pipeline that will see continued growth for the company. I'm looking forward to implementing those plans; it is a great time to be at VIP which has a very positive future."
