Cisco distributor Comstor has promoted Clive Hailstone to the newly created post of UK and Ireland managing director.
Having joined Comstor over a decade ago, Hailstone was previously UK sales lead for the Cisco distributor, which is part of Datatec-owned distribution group Westcon-Comstor.
Hailstone will report into SVP Comstor Europe, Willem de Haan, who claimed in a statement that the new UK big cheese is "highly respected by our partners".
"He has been a key part of Comstor's leadership over the past ten years, so I'm delighted to see him play a larger role as we look to continue to enable partners to grow with Cisco technologies and Comstor value-add services and support," de Haan said.
Mike Smith, Cisco, RSM Cisco UK distribution, added: "Clive is extremely well thought of within Cisco and the partner community. His passion for delivering first-class service is backed up with an ability to articulate Cisco's strategy that's relevant and meaningful to partners. Clive has a great opportunity to build a ‘next generation' distribution model within Comstor UK, aligned to some of the priority areas of security, services and recurring software offerings which Cisco is very keen to support."
