Home Office calls cleaners

The Home Office is remaining tight-lipped over the missing disc which was recently discovered in a laptop handed in for repair at VAR Leapfrog Computers.

A Home Office representative said: “Greater Manchester Police Forensics team has confirmed that the laptop’s hard drive has been wiped and that the disc was encrypted.”
Jonathan Parry, senior sales manager at Leapfrog Computers, said: “You can only guess there was
sensitive information on the hard drive, which would suggest why it was wiped.”
