Pivot3 monitors channel for larger-scale projects

Surveillance kit vendor looks to team up with reseller partners which can act as system integrators

High-definition surveillance company Pivot3 launched in Europe last week and aims to work with resellers on large-scale storage projects.

The vendor is offering prospective partners special pricing on demo systems, configuration and installation support, web promotion and lead sharing, access to literature and technical training.

Lee Caswell, founder and chief marketing officer of Pivot3, said: “If you are a reseller that is dealing with more than 50TBs a deal, then talk to us. Ideal partners will have established camera and VMS ties, will undertake surveillance deals with more than 50 cameras at a time and use digital and IP-based systems.

“Surveillance is a huge area for opportunity we have a lot of deals with casinos for example.”

A survey carried out by Vanson Bourne, on behalf of Pivot3, found that 72 per cent of UK IT decision-makers involved in video surveillance cited saving costs through server consolidation as one of their top three priorities for 2009.

Keith Humphreys, managing consultant at market watcher EuroLAN, said: “Pivot3 is being very clever by focusing on one vertical it just needs to find VARs that are willing to act as system integrators.”

Pivot3 has also recruited Martijn Kolenbrander as EMEA sales director to grow market share.
