Microsoft gets Insight into cloud computing
Software giant and VAR team up for EMEA-wide cloud drive
Stuart Fenton: We have migrated 79 clients to the cloud
Corporate reseller Insight EMEA claims its decision to work with Microsoft to drive adoption of the software giant's cloud services is already paying off.
Back in April, the two firms drew up a growth plan to help accelerate the uptake of Microsoft's cloud services across 22 countries within EMEA.
This resulted in the introduction of a number of initiatives at Insight EMEA to make it easier for staff to sell cloud-based services.
Stuart Fenton, president of EMEA and APAC at Insight, said implementing the action plan had already started to pay off.
“We offer a range of cloud-based solutions for our clients but it is the launch of Microsoft Business Online Services that has really accelerated the growth of our business across our priority European markets," he said.
“Over the span of five months, we were able to migrate 79 clients to the cloud, representing 23,000 seats.”
Wolfgang Ebermann, vice president for EMEA of Microsoft’s small and mid-market partners group, said: “Microsoft is dedicated to helping our partners succeed in the cloud.
"Insight has demonstrated strong partnership in this area, and we are looking forward to their continual support to help customers with their shift to IT-as-a-service.”
