Alcatel recruits Kevin Lee for channel enterprise

New manager chosen for proven sales skills and experience

Alcatel has hired a new channel sales manager for its enterprise sales division in the UK.

Kevin Lee joins from NextiraOne, and has also worked at Phillips Business Communications.

Paul Ballinger, sales director for the UK and Ireland at Alcatel, said: "Kevin is proven as a sales manager, and understands how to position technology into large enterprise clients. He will be helping our resellers get into large enterprise sales."

Ballinger has also hired two more sales staff from Central Telecom and Xpert Systems.

"They're going to be selling to enterprise and high-end applications," said Ballinger. "The two are based in different locations and have plenty of experience."

Alcatel has recruited eight partners - InData Solutions, Pervasive Networks, Facilitate Communications, Redbridge, Steria, VT Merlin, Interchange Group and Actimax - in the past nine months, picking firms in various locations and vertical markets to avoid overlap.

John Massey, managing director of Actimax, said: "We wanted to have a direct relationship with the manufacturer, and we can have that with Alcatel."
