InTechnology signs up to services partnership
Coda deal sees distributor boost managed services
Distributor InTechnology has boosted its managed service push after agreeing a partnership with financial services provider Coda.
The agreement will see InTechnology provide services to Coda’s customer base of financial institutions. InTechnology will supply data management, network and business continuity services.
Coda claimed the partnership will reassure its client base in terms of the security of their financial data, minimise business risk and reduce the cost of software implementation and deployment.
Adam Hurst, northern sales manager at InTechnology, said: “Part of our growth has centered round managed services for the last five to six years and we have built up our networking and hosting services.
“Coda has been a customer since August 2004 and with our expertise we can pass on our skills in business continuity, back-up and hosting.”
Hurst added that the deal operates as another channel for InTechnology with Coda operating as a large scale VAR selling on In Technology’s services.
Gary Bones, sales director at Coda, said signing InTechnology has given Coda the services skills it needed to increase its client base.
“This is a service we are selling to our clients and along with financial applications to worldwide firms. In some sectors we get asked to offer business continuity and back-up and for a long time we have been side-stepping that, but we now have a great menu of services to draw on.”
Bones said Coda “always keeps its eyes open for other opportunities”, but does not expect to sign an additional service provider.
The agreement has also landed its first customer in the form of Creation Finance, which has updated to the latest version of Coda’s financial applications while the system will be hosted from InTechnology’s data centre.
