Storage vendor adds sweeteners to Emerald partner programme

Vendor Pillar Data Systems has added a slew of channel incentives to its Emerald Programme.

All Pillar partners, including Elite members, now have access to the vendor’s Sell and Perform Pillar Professional Services, which enables partners’ professional services engineers to install Pillar Axiom equipment.

Other incentives include deal registration, price matching, volume-based pricing, seminar-in-a-box and a Pillar partner portal.

Bob Maness, vice president at Pillar, said the vendor has removed 40 resellers from its US partner base because they no longer fit the firm’s profile and were not producing.

“We took about 40 partners off the books in the US, but will be growing our partner base in Europe,” he said. “We will profile the resellers and ensure there are between two and four partners in each region.

“We have extended the incentives and programme globally to make our partner structure clearer and relationship stronger with our channel.”
