ON Technology UK has expanded its Softrack family of software license metering products to include metering and reporting of all Windows 95 applications loaded locally on workstation hard drives. The product is designed to allow Netware administrators to save money by taking advantage of special licensing agreements that extend to applications installed on local hard drives. Existing Softrack 2.7 users need only purchase the add-on module. Product prices depend on the type of servers.

Humming Bird Communications is launching Suite Maestro, a high-performance 32-bit TCP/IP application suite for Windows NT, Windows 95 and Windows 3.x. The suite is available on a single CD-Rom. Humming Bird Communications claims that Maestro's multiplatform TCP/IP application suite features robust high-performance applications and advanced administration utilities that ease installation of the package, reduce the overall cost of software ownership and allow the desktop to be customised.

Lotus Development is now shipping Lotus cc:Mail to Lotus Notes Release 4 migration tools on Lotus' Web site. The tools provide systems administrators with a convenient, automated way to migrate users from cc:Mail fileshare email to the groupware features of Notes, including client server messaging, integrated Internet access and rapid application development and deployment. The tools are available for downloading free of charge from Lotus' Web site.

Raptor Systems has introduced Eagle NT 3.05. The network protection package provides sophisticated capabilities such as enhanced security management and a high-performance NT firewall based on a support for Digital's Alpha platform. Prices range from u11,375 for an unlimited number of users down to u8,345 for between 50 and 200 users and u4,930 for up to 50 users.

The company says it provides a practical, comprehensive solution to the challenges of effective information access and desktop integration in the backoffice. In addition to client support for Microsoft Windows NT Workstation and Windows 95, Infinium also allows instant user access to related information in desktop applications.

Digital Instrumentation Technology is introducing Transfer Pro for Windows 95 and Windows NT. The software allows for high-speed file transfer between Macintosh and PC platforms. The company says the software is the only file transfer program that includes graphic image viewers and converters that are designed for desktop publishing and other digital imaging applications.
