Gateway has room to show off

Mail-order PC vendor Gateway 2000 has set up a showroom in London. The site at 10 Bedford Street allows customers to try out 14 Gateway PCs and software, interrogate technical staff and order by telephone from the company's Dublin sales office.

Gateway's market research reveals a low opinion among potential customers of service levels offered by conventional computer retailers. More showrooms are planned for the UK.
