Postcode Anywhere celebrates 2010 wins
Worcester web services firm celebrates clinching projects with top websites
Worcester-based reseller Postcode Anywhere has notched up a string of successes for its address auto-fill and verification software.
These include sales to high-profile web sites that have contributed to a company growth rate of 484 per cent over five years.
Guy Mucklow (pictured), managing director of Postcode Anywhere, said the 10-year-old business had been built from scratch without access to any external funding. In 2010 it made Deloitte's Fast 500 list for EMEA IT companies for the third consecutive year.
"We became one of the UK's fastest-growing IT companies by investing heavily in innovative cloud computing, which makes it far more cost effective to deliver business software and services," said Mucklow.
Postcode Anywhere now has around 8,000 customers for its software and services, which include route planning and customer profiling.
Jim Williams, PR executive at the company, added: "Small UK businesses keep most of the economy afloat, but are arguably the most heavily taxed and given the fewest contracts by government. [But] we see the power the internet has to gild any location with silicon."
Recent deals include those with online ticket exchange operator Seatwave and BBC Children in Need.
Matthew Ephgrave, programme director at Seatwave, said that Postcode Anywhere's application helps create a good user experience of its web site.
"The address auto-fill functionality considerably reduces key strokes and ensures accurate contact data," said Ephgrave.
Beth Courtier, community investment programme manager at BT for BBC Children in Need, said: "This application will make a significant difference to the number of transactions we can process."
