Comm-care guns for enterprise with ISO trio
Support services firm looks to integrator partnerships after grabbing third ISO badge
Comms-care claims the attainment of its third ISO badge sets it apart from other support services players and will allow it to gain a larger foothold in the enterprise space.
The Crewe-based outfit has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 information security management certification across its entire business. Marketing manager Richard Eglon (pictured) asserted that gaining the ISO thumbs-up across all operations sets his firm apart.
"Most companies have it across one contract or area of their business," he explained. "Resellers have got to do a lot of due diligence as to what exactly you have got 27001 in. If it's on a specific healthcare contract, that is no good with the Police Force."
The 27001 comes in addition to the ISO 9001 and 20000-1 stamps that Comms-care has already won. Eglon said that the new accreditation could help the third-party services provider forge ties with larger resellers. It could also help its base of smaller VARs gain a foothold in the upper echelons of the market, he claimed.
"It's already opened up [opportunities for us with] systems integrators, corporate resellers and network operators. We are talking to some real tier-one clients," said Eglon. "And, by partnering with us, [smaller resellers] can open up bigger end users. With the ISO, they can punch above their weight into a tier-one, end-user environment."
