Softcat and Trustmarque taste software framework success
VAR duo hail achievement of making it onto government's new enterprise software framework, Corporate Software Solutions
VARs Softcat and Trustmarque have hailed their inclusion on the government's new enterprise software framework.
Formal agreements for the Corporate Software Solutions (CSS) framework were finally dished out this week following lengthy delays caused in part by a scoring review.
Although the seven Lots of the £1bn, two-to-three year framework were dominated by the big services firms, Softcat and Trustmarque both scored representation.
CSS aims to act as a procurement vehicle for a wide range of enterprise software for public sector buyers, ranging from ERP systems to mobile applications.
Softcat, which is already present on 20 other public sector frameworks, snared a place on all seven Lots.
"We've really put a concerted effort into winning this contract," said Andy Bruen, Softcat's public sector frameworks manager.
"This latest framework success underscores Softcat's commitment to the UK public sector by effectively positioning us as the ‘best of breed' one-stop-shop for the more complex software solution requirements of our public sector customer base'.
Meanwhile, Trustmarque bagged a place on three Lots: CRM; enterprise content management; and data management and reporting systems.
