The next Macintosh version of Clarisworks will include Opendoc container functionality. Claris Corporation is hoping to ship the productlater this year, but has been unable to confirm a date.
It is already a popular software product for Macs, and the move should stimulate the creation and adoption of Opendoc component software technology. Developers of Opendoc parts will be able to count on Claris customers to use their parts, and vice versa, as these features will offer an extended use for customers purchasing the product.
Opendoc parts will be integrated as frames. When activated, the Clarisworks interface displays appropriate menu commands and tool palettes.
