Printer manufacturer Kyocera has beefed up its sales team in a bid to increase its dealer sales.
The channel-only vendor has merged its reseller support sales team with its corporate pre-sales team to get a better fit with its dealers. Tim Weedon, formerly at Canon, takes over as corporate account manager. Audrey Robinson, formerly at ALR, takes over as distribution account manager, working under distribution manager Chris Waters.
Kyocera product manager Tracy Rawling-Church said the new corporate account team would be better placed to refer leads to dealers, and she said that small dealers could get sales leads as well. 'The aim of this is to increase sales,' she said. 'We want to get more sales for all our dealers.' Kyocera has five major direct dealers, including Zygol and Computacenter which account for 30 per cent of it sales. But the majority of sales come through the smaller dealers.
