New York screens manufacturer D3 has kicked off a European operation based in Birmingham, opening an office and partnering with local signage provider Concept Digital.
D3 calls itself a "total solutions provider" as well as a manufacturer and designer of LED displays targeting the digital out-of-home advertising market. It also has offices in Australia, New Zealand, the UAE and Kazakhstan.
Jason Barak, managing partner at D3, said "the time was right" for the company to expand into Europe.
"We have seen an exponential increase in new business opportunities across the EU, and the UK made the most strategic sense in terms of where to expand our international operations, especially in light of D3's developing relationship with Concept Digital," Barak said in a statement.
Concept Digital executives Sean Morrough and David Neale will also work on D3 Europe's management team.
According to D3, 70 per cent of the digital displays in New York's Times Square use its technology.
