Eurodata bolsters SharePoint team
Integrator gets all its ducks in a row for big Microsoft Sharepoint push
Des Lekerman: Investing close to seven figures in our SharePoint strategy this year
Eurodata Systems has grown its dedicated Microsoft SharePoint team as demand for the technology soars.
The integrator has expanded its team from three to eight, with four of the new starters joining from rival resellers and one from a major telecoms vendor.
Des Lekerman, joint managing director of Eurodata, said: “We will be investing close to seven figures in our SharePoint strategy this year. Many customers have a poor intranet and are looking for something more interactive that offers a social networking element,” he said.
“We are expecting a sharp spike in demand for SharePoint 2010, particularly as email continues to become commoditised.”
Lekerman said Eurodata is seeing most demand from the mid-market.
Nigel Gibbons, managing director of Microsoft partner UniTech, agreed that SharePoint demand was ramping up.
“SharePoint 2010’s star has definitely risen and it is blossoming into one of the brightest suns in terms of potential in the Microsoft technology roadmap,” he said.
“There is a huge amount of activity,” he added.
