Lenovo hints at 'super luxury' notebook

Chinese PC vendor claims the machine willbe the most luxurious on the market

Lenovo is close to unveiling a “super-luxury” notebook that will come with onsite concierge services.

Milko van Duijl, EMEA president at the PC giant, said the new limited edition model, which will have a design based on Lenovo’s ultra-light ThinkPad, would be the “most luxurious notebook on the market”.

He added that the new top-end machine would be encased in expensive leather and would be aimed at people who see their laptop as an “extension of who they are”.

“Most importantly, it will come with tailored individual services,” van Duijl added. “Within a couple of hours, someone will be able to make a call to your hotel or home.

“This kind of service is new to the industry.”

Van Duijl said the notebook would not be launched in all European markets, but declined to give further details.

“This is aimed at people who want a notebook that is different from all the others,” he said.
