Computacenter's growth quickens
Corporate reseller sees uptick in both product and services growth in Q3
Computacenter reported an improved rate of growth in Q3
Computacenter’s growth picked up strongly in its third quarter as the corporate reseller and services giant confirmed it is on track to hit its 2010 targets.
In an interim management statement, the London-listed firm revealed revenues for the three months to 30 September rose 13 per cent year on year to £621m, or 16 per cent in constant currencies.
Among the highlights was a 22 per cent spike in UK product sales, excluding last year’s contribution from CCD, driven by strong demand from financial services.
Bolstered by recent managed services wins, third-quarter UK services growth also picked up from the first half at 16 per cent.
“We have seen an improved rate of growth in the third quarter in both products and services in all the countries in which we operate, compared to the first half of 2010,” the firm stated.
Computacenter admitted it is unlikely to sustain this level of growth into the fourth quarter, which is its biggest by revenue.
“We do, however, expect our services growth rate to continue at similar levels as experienced in the year to date and our product business growth rates to remain positive in all countries,” it added.
“The results to date make us confident that we are on track to deliver on our expectations for 2010.”
By geography, UK growth during the quarter stood at 20 per cent during Q3, German growth, including the recent becom acquisition, hit 19 per cent in local currencies, while French sales beefed up 14 per cent in local currencies.
