Softcat is reselling content sharing and business collaboration platform technology from Box with a view to enhancing its capabilities for G-Cloud wins.
Andy Bruen, public sector frameworks manager at Softcat, indicated the deal is an exclusive partnership.
"Box is an esteemed G-Cloud partner for Softcat," Bruen said. "We have seen significant customer interest in Box's technologies."
Box says it offers public sector customers a simple and secure way to share, organise and collaborate on their content in the cloud.
Wayne Cook, EMEA vice president of channel and alliances at Box, said public sector organisations and businesses are increasingly looking to collaborate and manage their critical documents easily and securely from anywhere and on any device.
"Our strategic partnership and embracing of the G-Cloud framework [can deliver] a flexible and scalable platform that supports government programmes, policies and strategies," he added.
Softcat won a spot on the G-Cloud framework last year.
