Zed-3 makes first UK move
The vendor signs its first UK distributor
Iain Milnes: The relationship betw.een Zed-3 and Siracom is helped by previous contact
IP telephony vendor Zed-3 has given its quest to crack the UK market a shot in the arm by signing Siracom as its first distributor.
The two companies inked a deal earlier this month which will see Siracom distribute Zed-3’s range of IP PBXs, phones and gateways across the UK and mainland Europe.
Channel veteran and Zed-3 president Iain Milnes told CRN that the relationship he established with Siracom during his tenure at previous company Zultys had been of key importance to the deal.
Milnes also revealed that talks with a potential European manager for Zed-3 were ongoing.
“We do not have a UK presence so it is important to have a strong company such as Siracom that understands the product,” he said.
Siracom sales director Rob Leggett told CRN: “Iain has come up with an excellent GSM gateway product which is a natural addition to our product range.”
Leggett also indicated his company remained a committed Zultys distributor and claimed he was unconcerned by any enmity between Milnes and his previous company.
“Siracom is grown up about its manufacturer relationships,” he said. “We will grow the business of all parties.”
