Didata bags telepresence accolade

Integrator's global reach enables it to become one of only a select number to be certified

Integrator Dimension Data (Didata) has become one of a select band of Cisco VARs capable of delivering the technology across the globe, after being awarded a telepresence certification.

Achieving Cisco's TelePresence Global Authorised Technology Provider (ATP) status means that Didata has a presence in all five of Cisco's geographical theatres: European markets, emerging markets, United States and Canada, Asia Pacific and Japan.

It is also only one of three VARs to be certified. Group executive of global solutions Steve Joubert praised Cisco's technology. ”We are delighted to be one of only three partners to be awarded Cisco’s Global ATP certification," he said.

"The Cisco TelePresence high-definition videoconferencing system is an excellent tool that enables enterprises to collaborate and interact as if they were in the same room. Apart from reducing travel costs and employee down time, Cisco TelePresence improves business agility."

Cisco's director of unified communications for worldwide channels, Richard McLeod, added: “This is an outstanding accomplishment for Dimension Data and demonstrates its desire to develop expertise in the new world of complex networking technologies and ranks it among an elite group of companies qualified to deploy Cisco TelePresence globally.”
