Midwich has Radvision in video foray
Distributor gets into videoconferencing as demand expands
Videoconferencing is reportedly becoming more popular, as budgets stay tight
Midwichhas signed up to offer videoconferencing kit from Radvision.
According to the distributor, the deal includes the right to sell its video network infrastructure, developer tools and HD room, desktop and mobile systems.
Lee Baker, business manager at Midwich, said demand for videoconferencing was growing.
“Travel budgets are being squeezed by economic pressures and the chaos caused by the recent British Airways strikes was compounded by the Icelandic volcano that disrupted flights across Europe,” Baker said.
Radvision had provided OEM products to companies such as Cisco, and had an end-to-end offering.
Demonstration facilities will be available in London and Norfolk, and at Radvision’s headquarters in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
Itai Margalit, regional general manager at Radvision, said enterprises as well as public organisations are under pressure to lower costs and become more efficient.
“The partnership we have established with Midwich is a further stepping stone in becoming a UK-leading VC solution provider,” Margalit said.
