CSI Leasing solves recycling problem

Firm hails popularity of refurbishment and disposal arm

Green machines: Customers of CSI Lifecycle Services have been paid as much as £15,000 for their surplus kit

CSI Leasing has claimed its disposal and refurbishment arm sets it apart from other leasing firms and will help it get a foot in the door of potential customers.

The firm’s Lifecycle Services arm was recently rebranded under the CSI banner. UK sales director Chris Lloyd said the past 12 months has seen an increase in demand.

“In the past year we have been aware of large amounts of surplus redundant kit,” he said. “In particular we have had a lot of success with further education.”

Lloyd said that CSI works with about 40 further education establishments, refurbishing or disposing of as many as 700 pieces of equipment at a time. Customers are only charged for collection, with some receiving as much as £15,000 from CSI if items can be resold.

“We give customers a service that they really want. It can also provide us with access to new customers and we have signed some of those to leases,” said Lloyd.
