Connected World wins Pontins deal
VAR pairs up with TalkTalk to overhaul popular holiday camp firm's entire network
VAR Connected World has bagged a contract with holiday giant Pontins to overhaul its entire network.
The deal builds on Connected World’s existing partnership with parent company Britannia Hotels, which saw the VAR deliver a network to connect its 37 hotels with its call centre, datacentre and national head office.
For that installation, Connected World used TalkTalk Business’ next-generation network and product portfolio installed on an Ethernet-based MPLS network, enabling Britannia to add new sites when required.
Jamie Price, director of Connected World, said: “With Britannia priding itself on delivering value for money, it needed an efficient, robust and secure internet infrastructure that would serve all its operational and business needs. By working closely with TalkTalk Business we have been able to develop a tailor-made solution that was delivered within extremely tight deadlines.”
The firm will now work again with TalkTalk Business to replicate its achievements with Pontins and update the holiday firm’s network infrastructure across its five UK holiday camps.
Andy Hollingworth, director of wholesale for TalkTalk Business, said: “We are delighted with the approach to Britannia in partnership with Connected World and now look forward to working with Pontins to bring about a similar transformation. Providing the technology infrastructure to help future-proof businesses so they can improve efficiencies and grow in the current climate is particularly rewarding.”
