Computerlinks signs its NextIO partner

Distributor and virtualisation vendor aiming to work with specialist resellers

Distributor Computerlinks has been signed up by NextIO, as the US virtualisation vendor launches new products to simplify datacentre management for resellers.

The distributor aims to provide the Texas-based firm's virtualisation products to a select few of its resellers that specialise in the field.

NextIO first launched in EMEA last October, signing eight resellers including NexStor, Layer 47, S3 SDVV and SICL.

Dave Ellis, director of new technology and services at Computerlinks, said delivering NextIO's solutions to resellers will provide them with simple solutions for end users.

"NextIO's products mean there is less kit and this ultimately means that it is cheaper for the end user. It is a really tough market out there and any technology that resellers can show a return on and a reduction in capex and opex is really resonating with end users as their budgets are under pressure.

"The products make management more efficient, optimise performance and reduce power consumption, which is a hot topic at the moment. We also aim to build resilience and business continuity with the partnership," he added.
