Varlink has inked a deal with NEC Europe to help the vendor strengthen its point-of-sales (POS) terminal business in the UK.
As a result of the partnership, the specialist distributor is hoping to help the vendor sell 10,000 of its TwinPos G Series terminals to UK retailers over the next three years.
Seiji Watanabe, senior manager retail solution at NEC Europe, said: "For more than 30 years, NEC has been a leading provider of retail solutions and POS terminals that meet the needs of retailers in various industries.
"With Varlink we have found a reliable partner to expand our business opportunities in the UK. This partnership will open new channels for the TWINPOS G series and enhance our presence in the retail and service market.”
Mike Pullon, chief executive of Varlink, added: “Continuously reinforcing product portfolio by partnering with industry-leading brands is essential to our success. Combining NEC’s latest POS terminals and our well-established reseller network will enable more UK retailers to modernise their storefront while considerably reducing total cost of ownership.”
