EntaTech takes the RAPP from ATI

Distributor celebrates first raise in ATI distribution status since 1997

shake on it: Entatech has struck up new deals with ATI and Buffalo

Distributor EntaTech has claimed a strategy coup, striking deals with graphics vendor ATI and multimedia vendor Buffalo.

EntaTech has become an ATI Radeon authorised programme partner (RAPP). This is the first elevation in status since 2007, when EntaTech first partnered with AMD.

According to a representative from ATI, the distributor has impressed with its operations and the steady increase in ATI VGA sales.

“In the last few quarters we have seen EntaTech grow its ATI numbers steadily and consistently,” said Carly Cheshire, ATI’s UK channel sales manager.

“So we have now added them on to the RAPP programme. We look forward to working more closely with them in future.”

Cheshire said ATI could now support EntaTech with its relationships with system builders such as XFX, Gigabyte & Gainward.

“EntaTech clients will enjoy better stock availability now,” promised Entatech’s motherboard and VGA business development manager Nigel Sutch.

“We have worked very closely with ATI over the past 12 months and have seen healthy figures. Now there is the added bonus of becoming a RAPP partner, so I am confident that our market share will continue to grow,” he said.

EntaTech has also recently signed an agreement with Buffalo Technology, a manufacturer of memory storage, multimedia and network products. The partnership will start this month.

Jon Atherton, EntaTech’s commercial vice president, said Buffalo is a brand he has admired for some time. “It has innovative consumer and SME products and fully complements our own strategy.”

“We have significant new products scheduled for this year,” promised Paul Hudson, Buffalo’s sales director.
