Micro Peripherals (Micro-P) is flexing its muscles in the audiovisual space with the appointment of a Pro AV business development manager.
Mike Fry joins the distributor from True Colours, and will head up the distributor’s dedicated AV solutions and education division.
The firm claims the appointment will enable it to further expand the division and add further value to its network of education resellers.
In a statement, Fry said: “I am delighted to be working with such a dynamic and visionary distributor that works closely with many leading education authorities including Partnership for Schools.
“I am looking forward to working with a team that has educational awareness and technological know-how and one that is dedicated to technology-enabled learning. These combined attributes enable us to share ideas with our reseller community and deliver cutting-edge, fully integrated, scalable turnkey solutions, tailored to meet all learning needs and budgetary requirements of educational establishments large and small.”
Richard Bovingdon, head of education at Micro-P, said: “Mike brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, particularly in the education sector, understanding technology as an enabler in schools.
"Bringing him into our established and expanding AV solutions and education organisation brings further credibility to our team and ensures we have industry experts on hand who can understand and deliver a 21st-century educational vision in line with our customer requirements.”
