Comms distributor Nimans is to offer resellers access to its in-house staff training programmes for the first time.
Training and development manager Matt Booth has spent the past ten years developing and delivering tailored training courses to the Mancunian firm's 200 employees. The courses, which typically last half a day, are now to be offered to resellers at a cost of about £200 each.
The sessions, which will be held at Nimans' Salford headquarters, will cover four areas: sales, soft skills, management and product knowledge. The distributor said the courses have been opened up in response to channel demand.
Booth is expecting high levels of interest. “Staff development is vital for the success of any business," he added. "Training is hugely important particularly at the moment when we are trying to stay out of recession. It is about getting the maximum from your staff.
"Some companies have been forced to cut back on their workforces so they need to get the most out of the people left, particularly in the technology sector where there are always new developments and a thirst for knowledge."
